U.S. Public’s Confidence in K-12 Schools Hits Record Low

Only 35% of U.S. adults now say they are satisfied with the quality of K–12 education in the United States—a new low for this measure—while just 26% believe schools are headed in the right direction, according to the latest poll. Many respondents believe schools are falling short at preparing students for work or college.
